Major wreck with injuries at Cottage Hill and Knollwood
Multiple people were injured and at least five vehicles were involved in a crash at the busy intersection of Cottage Hill Road and Knollwood Drive Tuesday around 6 p.m.
Three people were ejected from one vehicle, police said. Among those transported to a local hospital was a 12-year-old girl who was a passenger in a different vehicle, according to a relative on the scene.
Police: Reckless teen driver causes multi-car crash
Police say an officer witnessed the reckless driving and tried to stop the car, but the pursuit became too dangerous in heavy traffic and stopped. Police say the teen driver continued on, driving the wrong way down Cottage Hill Road, ran the red light at Knollwood Dr and crashed into multiple cars.

Fernandez has also been charged with six counts of assault and giving police a false identity.
Three people were ejected from one vehicle, police said. Six people were transported to a local hospital including a 12-year-old girl and a pregnant passenger.
