Mobile woman killed in two-car accident

Alabama State Troopers say a two-vehicle accident Friday night claimed the life of Jill R. Barber of Mobile. Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate the accident. Troopers say the accident happened at 7:30 p.m.. The identity of the other driver has not been released by State Troopers. Officials say Barber was not wearing a seat belt.

UPDATE: Two people killed in two-car crash Friday night

Alabama State Troopers now say two people were killed in a head-on collision Friday night on Half-Mile Road in South Mobile County. Michael Deakle was 58 years-old. Investigators say Deakle passed away at 3:00 a.m. State Troopers also say Deakle was a passenger in the 1995 Honda Civic driven by 58 year-old Barber when she collided head-on with a 1998 Honda. Investigators say neither Deakle or Barber were wearing seatbelts.
