A two-vehicle wreck in Elmore County on Friday claimed the life of a Titus woman and left a Texas man injured according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
According to the ALEA, 81-year-old Peggy Faulkner Haynes was killed when the 2014 Toyota Camry she was driving collided with a 2015 Jeep driven by 36-year-old Jonathan Bradley Varner of Texas on U.S. Highway 231 at the 174 mile marker. Haynes was pronounced dead at Baptist South hospital. Varner was also transported to a local hospital to be treated for unknown injuries.
