Miranda McGlamery, 21, killed, after she is struck by a SUV, driven by Marion Baker, 52, on the Alabama 14 Highway near Coosada.

A pedestrian was killed on Friday after she was struck by an SUV in Elmore County.

According to police, 21-year-old Miranda McGlamery of Eclectic was killed when she was struck by a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by 52-year-old Marion Baker of Elmore. The accident occurred on Alabama Highway 14 around mile marker 163 at 3:25 a.m.

McGlamery was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, the driver was not injured.

Nothing further is available at this time as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
