Sue Slocum Whisonant, of Lakeland, Florida, a passenger in one of the vehicles, and Nancy Scott Williamson of Red Level, a passenger in the second vehicle, were pronounced dead at the scene of the 12:40 p.m. crash at the intersection of U.S. Hwy. 331 and Alabama Hwy. 299.
