Anchorage police say a male pedestrian was critically injured in a Fairview vehicle-pedestrian collision Monday night. According to a statement from a APD spokesperson, police initially received reports of the incident, at a residential parking lot near the intersection of 12th Avenue and Eagle Street, at about 7:30 p.m. “There sounds like there was a possibility that the pedestrian may have been sitting down or lying behind the vehicle as it moved,” police said. “It sounds like he suffered some pretty critical injuries.” Medics took the victim to a local hospital for treatment, while the driver remained at the scene and has been cooperating with police. No road closures were reported due to the collision, and police are investigating both the collision itself and whether alcohol was a factor.
