One dead and several injured in four-vehicle wreck on Glenn Highway in Anchorage, Alaska
One dead in fatal car crash on the outbound Glenn Highway, police say
The outbound lanes of the Glenn Highway near Turpin Street are closed for a fatal crash that killed a lone driver and sent others to the hospital, according to the Anchorage Police Department.
Police responded to the four-vehicle collision on the Glenn at 12:01 p.m. on Tuesday, APD said in a release.
"Initial indications are that a Subaru, solely occupied by an adult male, was traveling inbound on the Glenn Highway when it crossed the center median and collided with outbound traffic," the release says.
After an injury car accident, take these steps to help the recovery process
When someone has been injured in a car crash, it's hard to know what to do to help. Injured people need appropriate medial treatment, but they also need to have their civil and legal rights protected.
After a serious crash, several steps need to be taken, including dealing with the insurance companies, tracking and documenting lost income from missed work, coordinating medical bill payments, and handling an insurance claim.
