Troopers: Man charged with DUI in KGB Road crash that seriously injured teen

A teen is suffering from injuries Alaska State Troopers described as “serious,” and a man is facing numerous charges, including driving under the influence, after a Tuesday evening car collision outside Wasilla.

A 17-year-old was driving a truck on Knik Goose Bay Road when a vehicle driven by 55-year-old Simon Reutov crossed into the wrong lane and struck him. The teen was taken to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center to be treated for injuries described as serious. Reutov is being charged with DUI, third-degree assault, refusal to submit to a chemical test, and reckless driving.
