DPS: Body found along I-17 may be tied to hit-and-run
Troopers were trying to figure out if a body found along a highway Sunday is connected to a hit-and-run accident.
The body was discovered just after 5:30 a.m. on the shoulder of northbound Interstate 17 at milepost 287 at Camp Verde.

Later in the afternoon DPS says a yellow semi truck was found near the McGuireville rest area, along with the driver, who was believed to have hit the person.

Officials say Espinoza was reportedly walking on I-17 when he was struck and killed. The truck involved was found at the McGuireville rest area.
