On-scene nurse tends to baby injured in Glendale crash

A 3-month-old baby suffered life-threatening injuries in a four-vehicle, chain-reaction crash in Glendale late Wednesday afternoon.
Ana Araiza, 28, was driving on Camelback Road when her vehicle rear-ended another that was stopped in traffic. She and three of her children that were riding in the car escaped injury, but her 3-month-old baby suffered life-threatening injuries. Investigators say that the infant was not properly restrained and suffered head trauma. A nurse that happened to be in one of the vehicles involved in the crash performed CPR on the baby until emergency crews could arrive.
