Boy dies in Glendale hit-and-run accident

Officers the the teen was struck by two vehicles Thursday as he attempted to cross N. 67th Avenue near Bethany Home Road midblock at around 8:30 p.m. The first car did not stop after hitting the boy. According to Glendale police Officer Tracey Breeden, the vehicle is described as a tan/white/gray midsize four-door passenger car with darkly-tinted windows. There is possible damage to the grille and hood. The driver of the second vehicle who also struck the teen stopped and remained on the scene as police arrived, Breeden said.

Teen dead after Glendale hit-and-run

The victim was identified as 15-year-old Bobby Rodriguez, according to one of his family members. The incident occurred as Rodriguez was attempting to cross 67th Avenue mid-block outside of a crosswalk around 8 p.m.
