Truck crashes through guardrail, hanging off Gila County bridge.

A semi truck was hanging off of a bridge that spans the Salt River in Gila County after the truck crashed on U.S. 60 early Monday afternoon, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

The crash occurred at 12:30 p.m. near milepost 294 when the semi truck went through a guardrail, said a Department of Public Safety spokesman.

Crews were airlifting the truck driver to a Valley hospital, Cook said
