5 hurt in 2-vehicle crash in New River

Authorities said all five patients were taken to Valley trauma centers, three by helicopter and two by ambulance. All appear to have non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

NEW RIVER, AZ (CBS5) -
Police say five people were hurt in a two-vehicle crash in New River early Friday afternoon.

The crash, involving a truck that landed on its side, happened about 2 p.m. near 15th Avenue and New River Road.

Authorities said all five patients were taken to Valley trauma centers, three by helicopter and two by ambulance. All appear to have non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Police said the cause of the crash may have been a failure to yield.
