A man crossing a Phoenix street died after he was struck by a car Thursday morning.
A Phoenix police spokesman said 20-year-old Victor Lee Squire was hit by a yellow Mustang about 8 a.m. as he crossed a street in the area of Rose Lane and 27th Avenue.

A Phoenix police spokesman said 20-year-old Victor Lee Squire was hit by a yellow Mustang about 8 a.m. as he crossed a street in the area of Rose Lane and 27th Avenue.
The 39-year-old woman driving the 1998 Mustang stopped and cooperated in the investigation, the spokesman said.
Police said Squire was crossing 27th Avenue outside of an unmarked crosswalk, the spokesman said.
Police said impairment was not a factor and the driver was not expected to face charges.
Squire was taken to a Phoenix hospital in critical condition before he died.
