I am in a state of shock as I just learn of the passing of my long-time friend, Tor Stobbe, who was 44-years young. He was an incredible, gentle soul, a loving husband, Son and trusted and supportive friend and confidant. Tor was less then a month away from completing his final medical Board review that would have certified him as a Doctor of Chinese Medicine, an achievement he dreamed of attaining throughout his adult life, along with the goal of opening up is own medical practice. He was a graduate of Arizona State University and went on to become a very successful salesman in the medical supplies field and at the same time being a co-owner and operator along with his wife, of several highly regarded Japanese/Korean Restaurants in New Mexico and most recently, The Tokyo House in Chandler, Arizona.

My thoughts and prayers are with his wife, family and friends. I will forever cherish our friendship. the times, tales, and Spiritual paths we supported each other along for over 25 years. I now know you Rests In the Peace and comforting hands of your Master. I love you and I'll miss you, and I will forever remember you. I am so proud of the way you battled and overcame every challenge and obstacle that ever came your way. You were my Hero. God Bless you Tor, my loyal and trusted friend. Until we meet up again. Salute!

After reading this article, it amazes me that he only killed himself. This was in a residential area and he went through some innocent persons backyard at such a high rate of speed the he became airborne. What was he thinking? I am glad he died instead of an innocent person.

Potential medical cause--MCSO stated that victim was taken to medical examiner to investigate any potential medical condition which could have precipitated this horrific accident; there were no signs of skid marks/braking/swerving...or attempts to stop which are usually discovered and common at such scenes. Vehicle mechanical failure or medical physiological events are being investigated. And Ruth Woudenbourg comments: "What was he thinking, I am glad he died instead of an innocent person.". Well Ruth, an innocent person did die. Did you not read what a good friend wrote before you wrote your shallow and tasteless comment with such disregard for human life? People like you make this world dark. I pray that nobody says this if you or your loved ones perish in an accident. Please think before your write.

Your implication is that he did this intentionally,. I can't express how incredibly stupid your position is. I can only hope that when you next loose some of your family some ignoramus does not make a similar stupid comment about his passing.

Renee, as a family member of Tor's, I feel I must respond to your distasteful remarks about my cousin. As others have stated you do not know the details of why or how this tragic accident happened. Tor would have never intentionally put others in harms way, it was not his nature. We are all grateful no one else was hurt, but we are devastated that we lost Tor. Please use restraint when commenting on things you know nothing about. Tor's family and friends are in shock and grieving his loss, and your remarks are hurtful and unnecessary.

Renee Woudenberg is Cruel, not Ruth.
I typed incorrect name. (yes I am human and can admit an error)
My apologies to Ruth, please for give me.

To Renee Woudenberg:

He had a medical emergency which caused the accident, you heartless troll. Next time think before you open your ignorant mouth (or begin typing with your ignorant hands).

Deepest sympathies to the family.

Tor, was nice to everyone. He was my classmate. So sorry to his family. He worked hard and was dedicated. Rest in peace, Blessings to the family. So sorry

I was very shocked to hear that Tor had died, I was talking to his wife after not seeing him after a couple of visits to the restaurant where my wife and I always looked for him.  I always enjoyed talking to him, he was a very nice and caring gentleman.  It is now May 1st when I found out the tragic information of a wonderful man I will never get to talk to again or build a friend relationship that I wanted and would have enjoyed, I will see you again Tor God bless you, your brother in CHRIST.

bodes,,, ( tor ) My deepest and most sincere thoughts and positive energy to your family and those you held close to your heart,,,, You were and will remain a positive influence and spiritual inspiration in my life,,, thank you bodes for the great laughs, awesome sence of humor and teaching me along your way,,, until we meet again my friend,,,, " the battle is won before the war begins" matt perez,,,,

My Husband and I knew Tor and his wife. They are the most wonderful people in this world. Our hearts break for the family that are in mourning.. Please keep all negative comments to your selves. remember....you may be in this situation one day and you would be devastated to read some heartless ignorant comments from people who are so quick to judge. Please let the family and friends grieve for the Beloved. We all have lost a wonderful gentle soul.

I was shocked and saddened yeaterday to hear of Bodhi's death. Having worked with him in a clinical setting, he impressed me with his strong sense of purpose while others around him were simply struggling to keep up. After graduation, he continued to persue credentials beyond the minimum needed to practice even while putting in the hours needed to help run his family's wonderful restaraunts, and relocating to help his family. This tragedy goes far beyond the loss of a good family man. For years to come, how many people will experience pain that could have been avoided had he been practicing? His family lost a husband, son, and brother. We who knew him lost a friend. The world lost his unrealized potential. At least God gained a great soul in Heaven.
