Police ID victim, suspect in deadly Rita Ranch bicycle crash
Traffic detectives determined that Koch was on the northeast corner of Valencia and Nexus, waiting to cross southbound at the crosswalk when the driver, identified as Eric Joseph Corral, 44, was traveling westbound in a silver 2011 Dodge Avenger on Valencia. As the light turned red for westbound travel, Corral did not stop but instead ran into Koch who had just entered the crosswalk, according to the release.
