A motorcycle was passing a car in an illegal passing zone when it hit a pickup truck head-on, according to the fire department. The motorcycle driver was killed on impact, while the pickup truck driver was taken to the hospital.

Rene S. Ayala, 29, of Rogers was driving a 2005 Suzuki east when he moved into the westbound lanes to pass another vehicle, according to a crash report. The Suzuki then hit a westbound 2009 Nissan head-on.
