Pope County crash kills Georgia man, injures 2

An out-of-state man was killed and two other people injured in a two-vehicle accident in Pope County early Thursday, according to Arkansas State Police. Blake A. Zeledon, 23, of Newnan, Ga., died as a passenger in the minor's vehicle. James Soriano, 21, of Whittier, Calif., was traveling east on Interstate 40 when he stopped on the south shoulder near Atkins. Zeledon's death was the 298th to occur on Arkansas roads so far this year, according to preliminary state police figures. The driver of a second eastbound vehicle, an injured minor whose age was not provided, left the interstate and struck the rear of Soriano's vehicle, causing the minor's vehicle to overturn.
