Man killed in hydroplaning accident, injuring three

A man was killed along a wet highway in Sevier County Sunday when his car hydroplaned across the center line, injuring three in another car, according to state police. According to an Arkansas State Police accident report, Gaspar was driving a Toyota northbound on U.S. Highway 71 when he collided with a southbound Nissan around 1 p.m. Inside the Nissan were two adults from Houston, Christian Houser, 22, and Hanna Houser, 23, along with an unidentified child. Police identified the driver killed as Salvador Gaspar, 29, of De Queen. According to state police records, it was the 506th fatality on Arkansas roads in 2015.
