A 4-year-old Porterville girl died and seven others were injured in a solo vehicle crash early Sunday morning just south of Plainview.
The child was a passenger in a 2005 Ford traveling at Avenue 184 and Road 192 when the driver feel asleep and allowed the vehicle to crash into a utility pole and rolled over. The child was pronounced deceased at the crash site. The driver, Christopher Narviaz, 27, of Porterville, along with passengers Crystal Munoz, 26, and three juveniles ranging in age from 2 to 8, all suffered minor injuries. Another juvenile, age 9, was transported to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno.
