One person is dead after a crash on the Northbound 405 freeway in Gardena early Sunday morning. A woman in her early 20's, later identified as Stephanie Hernandez Valerio, 21, and a man were pushing their disabled car on the NB 405 just north of the Harbor (110) Freeway when the woman was struck by a car that came up behind them, the California Highway Patrol Officer said. Paramedics arrived on scene and declared the woman dead. It was not immediately known if alcohol played a role in the incident but speed was a factor, officials said.
