Two Elderly Women Killed in Ralphs Parking Structure

Two elderly women were killed Thursday when one of them lost control of her car in an underground parking lot in Glendale and slammed into a pole, authorities said. It hit a pillar as well a parked car in the parking structure that services a nearby Ralphs. Authorities also said it was fortunate no one was in the path of the car as it careened into the parking lot. Additional information was not immediately available. Witnesses told police the car pulled into the south entrance of the garage at a high rate of speed in the 200 block of N. Glendale Avenue just after 1:30 p.m.

UPDATE: Driver in fatal car crash identified

The woman, identified by coroner’s officials as Ana Cabot, along with a female passenger, was killed after her car crashed into a concrete pillar in the Ralphs supermarket parking lot, located on the 200 block of North Glendale Avenue.
