The crash happened about 2:45 p.m. Saturday at 17th Street East and Avenue K, according to sheriff’s traffic Det. Jorge Diaz. The man in a Kia Forte was turning southbound onto 17th Street East from Avenue K when his car was struck by a Subaru WRX that was eastbound on Avenue K, Diaz said.
