The Metropolitan Transportation Authority says service between the Lake and Sierra Madre Villa stations remains shut down early Friday.

City News Service reports the two truck drivers were injured, one seriously, in the accident Thursday afternoon in Pasadena.

The California Highway Patrol says a big-rig truck may have blown a tire before colliding with a box truck at about 1 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 210.

The big-rig, which was hauling a farm tractor, plowed onto Metro Gold Line tracks next to the freeway and hit a power pole.

The crash closed eastbound lanes for hours, snarling traffic, but all six lanes have now reopened.
