About 12:30 a.m. the wrong-way driver crashed head-on into another vehicle along the eastbound side of the highway at Tampa Avenue, according to the CHP log.

Justin Christian, 38, of Simi Valley, and James Gubera, 30, of Hollywood, died as a result of the collision, according to officials from the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner.
