Bicyclist dragged for blocks in deadly hit-and-run crash in Van Nuys

The driver was traveling southbound on Van Nuys Boulevard at Delano Street when they collided with the bicyclist around 11:30 p.m. Monday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Los Angeles Police Department officers responded at 11:40 p.m. Monday to a 911 call regarding a man down at Van Nuys Boulevard and Calvert Street. Upon their arrival, officers learned the victim was riding a bicycle south on Van Nuys and the suspect, who was driving a vehicle in the same direction, struck the victim and did not stop, an LAPD spokeswoman told City News Service.

Bicyclist Fatally Struck in Valley Glen Hit-Run Identified

Los Angeles Police Department officers responded at 11:40 p.m. Monday to a 911 call regarding a man down at Van Nuys Boulevard and Calvert Street. They determined a man was riding a bicycle south on Van Nuys when a motorist driving in the same direction struck the man and continued driving with the man wedged under the vehicle, police said.
