Woman Killed in North Hollywood Hit-and-Run
Police were searching for the driver of a white Mercedes believed to be involved in a fatal hit-and-run in North Hollywood early Saturday.

Ofelia Salazar, 48, was hit about 2:15 a.m. on Saturday by a white Mercedes-Benz driving north in the 7300 block of Lankershim Boulevard, authorities said.

Salazar was crossing the street at Lankershim Boulevard around 2 a.m. when she was hit by a white Mercedes. The driver apparently stopped and then escaped after the collision, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Police were interviewing witnesses at the scene Saturday morning.
