A pedestrian attempting to cross a street in North Hollywood in the middle of a block outside a crosswalk was struck and killed Thursday. A white sedan traveling northbound on Vineland Avenue, north of Vanowen Street, struck the pedestrian Thursday around 1:05 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
