Two Cars Involved in Violent Crash in Pico Rivera, Prompting Road Closure

Wreckage and debris was strewn across all lanes of Paramount, according to the aerial video. The street was blocked off shortly after 7 a.m. with orange cones and police tape.

Police said one victim was in his 60s and the other was in his early 40s. The suspect, believed to be in his 20s, was sent to LAC+USC Medical Center in unknown condition.

Both the driver and passenger in the Honda died, Marquez said. The detective identified the driver as Javier Gonzalez, 64, of Huntington Park, and the passenger as Rodrigo Mendez, 59, of Los Angeles.
