A man was critically injured following a two-vehicle crash in Santa Ana Saturday night, according to police.
A man was critically injured following a two-vehicle crash in Santa Ana Saturday night, according to police.
The incident occurred near Civic Center Drive and English Street around 11:15 p.m.
According to police, a Ford Explorer collided with a car, and the Explorer wound up on top of a parked car.
"It looks like somebody ran a red light," said the Santa Ana police Commander, although the collision was still under investigation.
Responding paramedics initially thought the driver of the Explorer had been the victim of a shooting, but doctors at the hospital could not find evidence of gunshot wounds.
A passenger in the Explorer was also hospitalized.
