Police say a shooting in Desert Hot Springs preceeded a crash in Palm Springs
Around 2 a.m. Sunday, a Toyota Sequoia was speeding when it hit another car at the intersection of Vista Chino and Indian Canyon. The driver in the Toyota took off, and police found a passenger with a gunshot wound near the car.

Palm Springs Police confirmed that a shooting in Desert Hot Springs happened prior to an accident in Palm Springs. It is unclear how many people were involved in the accident and how many people were taken to a nearby hospital, but witnesses said a child was hurt in this accident. Both the crash and the shooting are under investigation.
