Two women killed in I80 accident

The vehicle swerved across all westbound lanes of traffic onto the shoulder, slamming into an embankment and light pole causing the vehicle to overturn.
Two women were killed and a passenger injured, in a single-vehicle accident that occurred yesterday along Interstate 80 in Auburn. According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash occurred about noon on Thursday when the driver, for unknown reasons, lost control of the vehicle. The car was in the fast lane traveling westbound on Interstate 80, west of Nevada Street. The vehicle swerved across all westbound lanes of traffic onto the shoulder, slamming into an embankment and light pole causing the vehicle to overturn. The vehicle ended up on its wheels in lanes of traffic. Two occupants, later identified as 23-year-old Shapre Nina Monique Nichols and 22-year-old Antoinette Danielle Powell, died at the scene. A third passenger, 24-year-old Robinisha Briggs, of Sacramento, was rushed to a local hospital with minor injuries.   How can a lawyer help with an auto accident claim? First, having a lawyer on your side levels the playing field.  The person who caused the accident is required to immediately turn the case over to his or her insurance company.  The insurance company uses adjusters and lawyers who are specifically trained to deny or reduce your claim.  This may include denying compensation to family members who are entitled to receive benefits for loss of companionship.
