A two-car crash in Citrus Heights on Wednesday left one driver seriously hurt and closed a section of Auburn Boulevard for about seven hours, police said.
Citrus Heights Police say that at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, two cars crashed on Auburn Boulevard just north of Antelope Road when a red convertible heading south on Auburn collided with a northbound silver sedan as that driver made a left turn at Rusch Park. The convertible left the road, slammed into a concrete pillar, which caused it rollover and land upside down. Witnesses flipped the car back over and attempted to help the driver, who was brought to the hospital in critical condtion. The sedan driver wasn't injured. Check back for updates.
