The man, who officers estimate was in his 60s, was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries. Police said they do know why he was trying to cross the busy intersection.

The pedestrian -- later identified as Zhenfen Wu -- was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries. Police said they do know why Wu was trying to cross the busy intersection.

A man, estimated to be in his 60s, was hit and killed by a tow truck in Elk Grove, California Tuesday night. The incident occured around 10:00 p.m. on October 14 at Bruceville Road after the man attempted to cross a busy intersection against the traffic light. The man was rushed to the hospital, where he died.
