Four dead in pair of Sunday traffic accidents in Fairfield area
Four Solano residents, including a Dixon teacher, lost their lives Sunday in a pair of unrelated traffic accidents in the Fairfield area.
At 2:45 p.m. Sunday, a Fairfield motorcyclist was killed when he collided with a vehicle that had turned in front of him. Craig Bock, 32, of Fairfield, was traveling north on Suisun Valley Road on his Harley Davidson Sportster as David Beyer, 66, of Fairfield drove south on Suisun Valley Road. Beyer turned left into Bock’s path. Bock was pronounced deceased at the crash site. Beyer suffered moderate injuries. His passenger, 60-year-old Elaine Beyer, was not hurt.
Since motorcycle crashes often end in serious injuries, victims need immediate help
Motorcycle accidents are more likely to end in serious injuries or death for the motorcyclist, since the rider is not protected from the force of a collision. When a motorcycle accident happens, the injured rider needs immediate, appropriate medical care, the accident needs to be investigated, and the insurance companies need to be informed.
When a motorcycle crash is caused by negligence, additional steps need to be taken to protect the legal rights of the injured motorcyclist or the family members of someone killed in a motorcycle crash. Go here to learn more about motorcycle accidents and claims.
