CHP investigates fatal freeway crash near Mace Boulevard

According to the California Highway Patrol’s traffic information website, the crash occurred at about 10:15 a.m. after 46-year-old Valerie Jones apparently lost control of the Nissan sedan, struck the center divider, then veered across the freeway and hit the tree.

This was my cousin. I never had a chance to meet her. This is such devastating news. I keep our family in prayer and hold them up in love and endurance, in the following days to come. I pray that someone is checking into the recall issues and the mechanical malfunctions of that vehicle.
