Man Killed in Apparent Hit and Run in Rio Linda

The California Highway Patrol says a man in his 30’s was hit and killed Monday morning by a car on Elk Horn Boulevard near 30th street. “We could immediately tell from his injuries that it was a hit-and-run – he was dead when we arrived, said CHP Officer Rueben Franklin. A neighbor tells FOX40 they heard a “loud thud” just before 4 a.m. Officers only describe the man by giving his age and saying that he was local. As of Monday morning there was no description of the suspect or a suspects vehicle.
