The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that occurred about 12:30 p.m. when a vehicle traveling on Highway 99 went off the roadway and crashed into a tree.
A CHP spokesman said one person has been confirmed dead.
An elderly woman was struck and killed on Florin Road on Saturday evening.
Investigators say a driver hit the woman in the eastbound lanes of Florin Road near 29th Street.
It’s not clear if the woman was in a crosswalk, and the driver hasn’t been charged with a crime.
