Fidel fled the scene in his vehicle, but was followed by the driver of the second vehicle. Fidel drove to the area of Florin Road and Amherst Drive, where Sacramento police officers stopped and detained him until CHP officers arrived.
Coroner identifies woman killed by driver on Sacramento sidewalk
The woman who died Thursday after she was struck by a suspected drunken driver as she walked with a 2-year-old child on a sidewalk has been identified by the Sacramento County Coroner’s office.

Tococh Fidel, 27, was driving a Toyota westbound on 47th Avenue near Kiessig Avenue when he allowed his vehicle to drift across the roadway and onto the north sidewalk. The woman was walking eastbound on the sidewalk with the child when she was struck by Fidel’s vehicle and propelled into the roadway. The child was not struck or injured.
