Deadly Crash Blocks Traffic In North Sacramento
The scene was along Norwood Avenue between Fairbanks Avenue and Ford Road.
Police say that just after 2 a.m., a driver heading south on Norwood lost control of his car and hit a street light then a tree. The driver, who was the only person in the car, was killed in the crash.
Light pole pierces vehicle in deadly Sacramento crash
Investigators said the vehicle was heading south on Norwood Avenue when the car drifted across all four lanes, onto the sidewalk and into the light pole.
The passenger side of the car hit the pole, buckling the car into a twisted "U" shape and sending the light pole into the windshield on the driver's side.
