Stockton Officers Involved In Accident; Woman In Other Car Killed

The crash happened near N. Pershing Avenue and Rivara Road. Stockton police say two officers were on their way to assist other officers on a call Wednesday morning when they were involved in the accident.

An elderly woman in one of the cars involved has died, police say.

The specific cause and who may be at fault in the crash remains under investigation, Sepulveda said. The CHP called in its Major Accident Investigation Team to collect evidence from the scene and talk to potential witnesses.

Stockton officer could face charges for deadly crash

The California Highway Patrol finished a year-long investigation into the crash and recommended to the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office that Ciccarelli be charged with suspicion of vehicular manslaughter without gross negligence.

Re Pershing Avenue accident that involved SPD and a citizen who died.  GOD bless our SPD but it would not surprise me that they were driving faster than conditions allowed.  Another thing is driving code 3 through cars then continuing on code 2.  What gives red lights or not, pick one or another please.
