Cal Fire firefighter killed in crash on Highway 89
TRUCKEE, Calif. (KOLO) - A firefighter from Cal Fire was killed in a collision with another driver on Highway 89 near Truckee.
The California Highway Patrol says 25-year-old Kirstin Snook of Los Gatos, California, was headed north on State Route 89 south of Goose Meadows March 11, 2016. She lost control of her Toyota, crossing the highway, and was hit head-on by a southbound driver, then bounced back into the northbound lane. She was then hit by three other drivers.
