A pedestrian was injured after being struck by a car Friday Night in Point Loma.
A pedestrian was injured after being struck by a car Friday Night in Point Loma. The crash occurred at about 8:30 p.m. in the 1500 block of Rosecrans Street, according to a watch commander with San Diego police. Officials initially reported the crash as a possible hit-and-run. However, police later discovered the driver in fact went to get help and then returned to the scene. The male victim was not in a crosswalk when he was hit, SDPD said. He was taken by ambulance to UC San Diego Medical Center with leg injuries. His exact condition was not confirmed. Police are also investigating whether he was intoxicated. The driver, meanwhile, will not face charges. The name of the victim was not immediately released.
