85-year-old killed in Chula Vista hit-and-run
The Chula Vista Police Department said investigators determined the man was crossing southbound on East H Street when he tripped and fell. He was hit by a dark colored 2015 to 2018 Toyota sedan. Police said the driver didn’t stop.

Leandro Hernandez was crossing the roadway in the 700 block of East H Street in Chula Vista when a dark-colored eastbound sedan struck him shortly after 6:30 p.m. Jan. 17, according to police.
