A collision on state Route 67 in the Ramona area Monday afternoon -- possibly caused by a combination of speed and wet conditions -- left one person dead and three others injured, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The crash happened just after 1 p.m. on northbound SR-67 near Cloudy Moon Drive, the CHP said.

According to the CHP, a 25-year-old woman driving a 2016 Hyundai Tucson was on the northbound side when a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer "traveling at an unsafe speed" on the southbound side slid out of control and into the Hyundai.
