The San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office Monday publicly named the 80-year-old man killed in a single vehicle car crash on Saturday afternoon in the Grantville neighborhood.

A man died Saturday after his pickup truck crashed into a telephone pole in Grantville.

A man died Saturday after his pickup truck crashed into a telephone pole in Grantville.

The crash occurred at about 3:20 p.m. in the 4300 block of Twain Avenue near Mission Gorge Road.

Police say an 80-year-old man, later identified as Albert Najera, 80, was driving a 1999 Toyota pickup truck eastbound on Twain Avenue when he may have had some kind of medical issue. The truck then hit two cars and a telephone pole, police said.

The man died at the scene. No other injuries
