Pedestrian fatally struck on Sea World Drive(link is external)

Both the north and south off-ramps from Interstate 5 to Sea World Drive were closed, the California Highway Patrol reported. Northbound traffic on Pacific Highway also was closed at Sea World Drive as officers investigated, police said.
A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle on Tuesday night on Sea World Drive near Mission Bay Drive. The victim was transported to a hospital but did not survive. We'll update this story with any new information we receive.
