44-year-old passenger died in a two-vehicle head-on collision on state Route 78 in San Diego, California

Around 7:30 a.m., the suspect was traveling east on state Route 78, west of Weekend Villa Rd., when his vehicle crossed into the opposite lane and hit a Ford Edge SUV head-on, causing it to roll off the road. The sole passenger, a 44-year-old woman from Ramona, was pronounced dead at the scene, CHP officials said.
