4 Injured After Car Crashes Through Santee Construction Site(link is external)

Four people were left critically injured after a car crashed through a Santee construction site, hitting concrete barriers and eventually smashing into a concrete box, officials said. The crash happened at 1:14 a.m. early Sunday when Santee officials received a report of a crash at Princess Joann Road at Ironwood Avenue. The crash is under investigation, but officials said the preliminary investigation indicates speed was a factor. When Sheriff’s officials arrived, they found Good Samaritans helping two men pulled from the wreckage, suffering from serious injuries. Fire Department paramedics helped free the two men trapped in the severely damaged car.
