Motorcyclist dies in crash with tourist’s RV
NORTH COUNTY — A motorcyclist died in a collision with a motorhome driven by a German tourist near Warner Springs Tuesday, the California Highway Patrol said. The 59-year-old Murrieta man was riding a Harley Davidson south on state Route 79, north of Chihuahua Valley Road. He took a curve too sharply and veered into the northbound lane just as the motorhome entered the curve, CHP Officer Kevin Pearlstein said.

It appeared that David Emory McDaniel of Murrieta lost control of his Harley-Davidson and crossed into oncoming traffic on a widening stretch of the SR-79 near Chihuahua Valley Road early Tuesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol and the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
